Job Title: Financial Advisor

Job Summary: As financial advisor, you will leverage your expertise in financial planning and wealth management to provide personalized guidance and advice to clients. Operating as your own business entity, you will have the flexibility to manage your schedule, client base, and service offerings while adhering to regulatory requirements and ethical standards. Your primary objective will be to help clients achieve their financial goals through comprehensive planning and strategic investment management.

Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct thorough financial assessments and analysis for clients to understand their financial objectives, risk tolerance, and time horizon.

  2. Develop customized financial plans and investment strategies tailored to each client's unique circumstances, incorporating considerations such as retirement planning, tax efficiency, estate planning, and risk management.

  3. Offer ongoing financial advice and support to clients, monitoring their portfolios and adjusting strategies as needed to align with changing goals or market conditions.

  4. Educate clients on various financial concepts, investment products, and strategies to empower them to make informed decisions about their finances.

  5. Recommend specific investment products, insurance solutions, and other financial instruments that align with clients' objectives and risk profiles.

  6. Assist clients with implementing recommended strategies, including facilitating transactions and coordinating with other professionals such as attorneys or tax advisors when necessary.

  7. Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and market developments to ensure compliance and provide relevant insights to clients.

  8. Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication, exceptional service, and proactive outreach efforts.

  9. Manage administrative tasks related to client accounts, documentation, and regulatory reporting in accordance with industry standards and best practices.

  10. Market your services and build your client base through networking, referrals, and other business development initiatives.

Qualifications:

  1. Advanced degrees or certifications such as CFP®, CFA®, or ChFC® may be preferred.

  2. Proven experience in financial planning, investment management, or wealth advisory services.

  3. Strong understanding of financial concepts, investment products, and tax strategies.

  4. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

  5. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.

  6. Entrepreneurial mindset and self-motivation to drive business growth and success.

  7. Valid securities licenses (Series 65) and insurance licenses may be preferred.

  8. Experience with business development, marketing, and client acquisition strategies is advantageous.

  9. Established client base (required.)

  10. Ability to operate and function your own business.

Compensation:

  • Compensation for independent contractor financial advisors typically includes commissions, fees, or a combination of both, based on the products sold or services rendered.
